7:30pm at the Penrith Methodist Church
Tickets: £20 (students £2), at the door or in advance.

One of the country’s best-known chamber music ensembles, the Gould Trio (Lucy Gould – violin, Richard Lester – cello and Benjamin Frith – piano) will be making a welcome return to Penrith for the next Penrith Music Club concert on Monday February 13th. They will be joined by the distinguished clarinettist Robert Plane in a programme of 19th and early 20th century music.

The programme will include Brahms’ Piano Trio no.3 in C minor, one of the greatest piano trios in the repertoire, and Beethoven’ s Piano Trio no.10 in E flat major. Music by the mid-19th century French composer, Louise Ferrand and the early 20th century Viennese composer Walter Rabi complete an enterprising programme that promises to be a highlight of the Music Club’s season.

The concert takes place in Penrith Methodist Church at 7.30 pm. Tickets (£20, students £2) can be pre-booked on 01768-863518 or purchased in advance from Penrith Tourist Information or Beckside Books. They will also be available at the door (cash payments only).
