YOUNG UKRAINIAN PIANIST TO PLAY IN PENRITH

Khrystyna Mykhailichenko, a gifted young Ukrainian pianist who is already making her name on the international scene, is one of four young musicians who will be performing in Penrith on Saturday April 1st.

They will be playing in the annual concert given by Junior Musicians of the Royal Northern College of Music in Penrith Methodist Church.

The other players, all of whom are in the 15 to 18 year old age group, are Jeremy Bailey (flute), Toby Johnson-Jones (French horn) and Josie McEvey (voice).

The concert takes place at 2.30 pm and is promoted by Penrith Music Club and Penrith Piano Circle. Admission (£6) is at the door.

The concert will include music by Mozart, Bach, Elgar, Brahms, Haydn, Chopin, Strauss and other fine composers.
