YOUNG VIOLIN VIRTUOSO
Considered as one the great violin stars of the future, the young British violinist Cristian de Sá will be giving the second recital of Penrith Music Club’s new season in Penrith Methodist Church on Monday October 13th at 7.30 pm.
Cristian’s programme will include sonatas for violin and piano by the 18th century composer Leclair, Brahms and Ravel as well as arrangements of Saint-Saëns’ Danse Macabre and Debussy’s Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune and Minstrels. Fauré’s gentle Berceuse and Ravel’s spectacular Tzigane, inspired by Hungarian gypsy music, complete the programme. John Lenehan, one of Britain’s most accomplished accompanists, will be pianist for what promises to be another excellent concert.
